For Google AI Lighthouse, SpecialGuestX imagined Lyft Local: a new kind of in-car experience designed to connect passengers with the city around them. SPARTANBITS collaborated with SpecialGuestX on the technology behind the project, developing the web application that powered the experience. Built as a working prototype inside a portable kiosk, Lyft Local explored how Google AI could make a ride more contextual and useful in real time — surfacing nearby landmarks, events, local recommendations, promotions and other suggestions along the journey. Our role was to turn the concept into a functional interactive product: a responsive web experience designed to feel at home inside the physical installation and make the possibilities of AI tangible. We synchronized audio tracks, subtitles, and animations to make the experience feel smooth and natural.
